  The inner circle of Lisa Smittcamps's District Attorney''s office have reported that her office is "very supportive of the CCSPCA". It is common knowledge in the DA's office that no charges or cases will be filed against Fresno's CCSPCA regardless of the endless reports of animal abuse. Fresno residents have complained to DA's office only to be told that nothing can be done. Animal sympathizers in the DA's are afraid to come forward with abuse complaints for fear of jeopardizing their employment or that they will lose relationships with colleagues. Moreover, citizens with the valid belief that their elected DA will never bring justice to the abused animals have taken to leaving reviews. You will find endless detailed reviews of the CCSPCA on Google, Yelp, and, Facebook describing animal abuses committed by the CCSPCA. The reports read of animals laying for days in their own feces, animals catching diseases while in the shelter and remaining untreated, animals dying from those untreated diseases, animals laying on cold wet urine floors, animals being adopted out without being spayed or neutered, animals being physically abused by shelter employees, animals being put to death when they have a rescue or adopter waiting, and the list goes on. Even more terrible is that it is the CCSPCA Fresno residents are to call to report animal abuse. It's rigged so you have to call the animal abusers to stop animal abuse. What's even more corrupt is that Lisa Smittcampls DA's office officially works with the CCSPCA to prosecute animal abuses cases. So what we have is a DA that works in close collusions with an organization infamous for animal abuse. This is a serious legal conflict of interest that Lisa Smittcamp's office has conveniently ignored. The fact that they are confronting other animal abusers is irrelevant. It's a like like working with Jeffrey Dahmer to catch other serial killers while still allowing him to be free to murder and eat people. The end in no way justifies the means. Even if the Fresno's DA's office started charging the CCSPCA with animal abuse today a history of relationships with the CCSPCA has already been in place; therefore, prohibiting any fair and objective application of the law. Fresno District Attorney, Lisa Smittcamp, has failed to exercise a reasonable standard of ethics. Even in the face of a changing social climate where the FBI now considers animal abuse a Class "A" felony and has concluded that animal abuse is a marker of domestic violence and serial killers, Lisa Smittcampls DA's office prefers to work side by side with Fresno most prolific animal abuser of all--the CCSPCA. And let's not forget that those in her own office have reported the DA to be "highly supportive of the CCSPCA". Given that Fresno's elected DA will not move to bring justice to the thousands of animals abused in the CCSPCA it is up to Fresno residents. Remember when filing your animal abuse report make sure to mention that Fresno's DA works side by side with the CCSPCA to prosecute other animals abusers and that it is this conflict of interest that forces you to report to the State. Please include all details of animal abuse, and include photos, and medical records if available. If Lisa Smittcamp lacks the morals and ethics to bring justice for abused animals at the CCSPCA then we as a community must make a stand. I must say it is a travesty of justice when the people who are elected and paid six figures to handle these matters don't.
